About ENYGA

The East New York Gardeners Association (ENYGA) is a coalition of community gardeners working together to preserve and strengthen the community gardens in our neighborhood.  Our member gardens provide open space, children’s activities and neighborhood events for our community. We are active in the local farmers market, East New York Farms!, and are dedicated to growing and distributing locally grown produce in our community.  Since we began in 1997, we have sponsored food pantries, hosted workshops, advocated for the preservation of our gardens and led tours of East New York’s gardens for local residents as well as our elected officials.

The ENYGA is committed to our community and will continue to work to strengthen our neighborhood by bringing people together, providing safe places for our children to play and learn and by distributing affordable and healthy food.
